2012....What a CRAZY year!!!

Here is a look at the first half of 2012 with the Stewarts.  So many great things happened so you will see a quick glimps of all of them.

My cute Gaven turned 5 this year!!!!!  He wanted a Transformer birthday cake so mom had to get creative and used candy bars for the city.  He thought it was awesome!

He has been using a tiny bike for the last year so we decided to get him one his size.  He was so excited.  He also got a train whistle and conductor hat (he has it on) from Grammy among many other things!!

Next came Easter.  Look at these 3 HANDSOME boys of mine.  I am one lucky mama!

They got soooooo much candy and I think they ate it all that same day :)

Of course there was the annual trip to MONSTER JAM!!!!  This year Maximum Destruction finally came back and did some pretty neat tricks.  They love meeting the drivers and getting autographs.
This year was the 30th anniversary of the Grave Digger.  He had a special paint job.  We have met this driver several times and he is so fun with the kids.

Wedding #1.......Lauren and AJ got married!!!  She only gave us a few weeks to get ready so it was crazy but turned out beautiful.  We are all greatful that AJ has joined our family.  My boys always want their Uncle 'J' to come and play.

All of the neices and nephews looked so cute in their outfits.

While we were in Arizona for the wedding we got to do some fun things.  We went to the Fountain Hills Park by Grammy's house and rode scooters and looked at all the neat statues they had

There was also a splash park that was extrememly popular at the Fountain Hills park....I think we went there almost everyday.

After Lauren and AJ left on their honeymoon we got Grammy all to ourselves.  We went to one of my favorite places in Scottsdale called the Railroad park.   We got to ride a train around and play on the playgrounds for hours.

We visited the Hogle Zoo this year with the Stewart cousins.  It was so fun.  There was a new polar bear, black bears, seals and otters.  It was pretty hot though.

Thomas The Train

On the last weekend in May, Thomas the Train made a stop in Heber City, Utah and we got to go and see him. It was a cold rainy day. On our drive to Heber, we actually went through a blizzarding snow storm. Lucky for us, it stopped right when we pulled into Heber and found Thomas. The sun actually came out and it was a pretty great day.

There were a lot of train cars and all 3 boys couldn't stop looking at them

After we rode on Thomas, we got to get a picture with him. Grayson was so cute, he just kept looking back with his big eyes and saying "choo choo"

Not only was Thomas there, but so was Sir Topham hat. Gray couldn't take his eyes off his big head. Gage and Gaven just kept asking him questions about the Island of Sodor and all of the Trains there.

Here we are waiting for our ride to begin. Gaven was especially excited because we got to ride on the orange train car, which is his favorite color. The conductors walked up and down the isle and they all got "Conductor for A Day" Certificates

They had all different kinds of tents set up with things to do while we waited for our turn on Thomas. This was the temporary tatoo tent. All 3 boys got Thomas on their hand or cheek. It was a really good one too, it lasted for almost a week!

Here are all 4 of my boys waiting to get off the orange train car

Grayson was starving, so we had to get some snacks for the ride

This was one of the most fun things we have ever done with our boys. We might make this a tradition. They loved every minute of it and could stop talking about it for weeks. I think we may also try the Polar Express one year too. What a great day!!

Kindergarten Program

At the end of Kindergarten, they had a "Kindergarten Showcase" instead of a traditional Graduation Ceremony. He got to wear something that could show off something he really liked or was good at. He chose to wear his basball uniform. I got to answer some questions about him and it was read while he walked down the run way showing off his uniform.

Here he is after the show, eating cookies with his friends at the table that he sat at during class

Gage is my very social child. He likes to always talk to the people next to him, even if he is supposed to be listening

He was so happy to be number "4" this year instead of number "1"

He was a little shy walking down the run way. He had this goofy look on his face the whole time. His teacher is in the background reading his page

Gage loved Kindergarten with Mrs. Miller. He was very proud to be a Diamond Ridge Rocket. He made a lot of good friends and always wanted to go. Gage learned a lot and is a great reader and little mathematician now.

It's Picnic Time

Gaven has the BEST preschool teacher! She does so many fun things for her classes and they learn so much. Since Gaven wasn't graduating to Kindergarten, Mrs. Becky took them to the park for an end of school picnic. I was lucky enough to get off work for a couple of hours and go with him.

Here he is climbing up to slide down the big slide with his friend CJ. The little girl in the pink is his friend Ady, who always saves him a seat in primary

He didn't want to eat, he just wanted to play

This is the BEST preschool teacher in the world...... Mrs. Becky

Snow in APRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that this has been the craziest winter in the last 10 years that I have lived here! The snow didn't leave us until late in May. This is what we woke up to one April morning, feet of snow..... not just a couple of inches, FEET. On top of the snow, it stayed cold enough that it didn't melt very quickly at all.

Grayson's 1st Haircut

I finally broke down and cut Grayson's hair. It was starting to get really long on the top, but he loved it! When he is tired, he likes to twirl it in his fingers and I always hate to cut their baby hair..... it's always one more step away from being my baby boy. He did really good and actually sat really still. He didn't like it at all when it got close to his ear, it was pretty funny. I think that it made him age a lot to have short hair. He didn't like it at all at nap time because there was no more hair to twirl!

This was the best "after" picture we could get. I don't think he really wanted to sit still any more

These are the 2 "before" pictures.

Grammy's Trip to Utah

We were lucky enough to have Grammy visit us in March right after Chris' accident. It was so much fun playing with her for the couple of days she was here. All 3 boys got to show off their ability to ride and drive.

Grayson has discovered his Spiderman motorcycle and tries hard to keep up with the big boys

Gaven loves his Grammy! He was so proud of himself that he could show her how he rode his bike.
Gage loves to take Gray for rides in the Grave Digger. I think Gage would be perfectly happy sitting and driving in that all day long

There is Grammy freezing in the wonderful Utah weather

Gage has gotten so awesome at riding his bike. His goal is to take his training wheels off by the end of the summer

We are very greatful for Grammy and all that she does for our family. I don't think we could survive without her!!!

We love you Grammy!
